Your Move - Rochester Agent Valuation of this property is £600,000

Description:

You would be forgiven for thinking this is a country cottage, it is quaint and it is adorned by fragrant roses which cover the front of the property, popping up throughout the year… but it is larger than you expect when you step inside….

The property is light and bright throughout and in good neutral decorative order, with solid English oak flooring throughout which adds to the feeling of flow from room to room. The downstairs foyer leads to two very large reception rooms, a dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and family bathroom. The oak staircase leads to two further bedrooms, a second family bathroom, a spacious gallery and a study, which is currently used for 2 people working from home. The property benefits from large windows taking in the Kent Countryside, stunning sunsets and the established gardens. The part-walled garden with mature conifers provides privacy.

The current owners have developed the existing property, all rooms are of a substantial size. The 2 person ‘double’ study joins onto a large bedroom and was once used as a bedroom for young children sleeping directly next door to their parents, therefore leaving 2 other large bedrooms available. The property can be reconfigured to a 4 bedroom property and the upstairs gallery is large enough to create a new separate study space. There is further potential to extend the property into the side / back gardens. An application is in progress for outline planning permission to convert the garage into a two storey building as a stand alone office, a home gym or a separate annex for rental or family.

Within a few hops, you can be strolling across the fields with rabbits and the local ancient woodlands…or travel to see the sea within an hour. Alternatively you can get to The Old City & the Docklands areas of London in under an hour by high speed rail or by car.

This has been a happy family home for over three decades, I have very fond memories growing up here, venturing into the corn fields is etched into my memory. It is a very peaceful and relaxing home.
The double reception room was a game changer for family life, it has meant that we can all be at home together but still with a feeling of personal space. It’s magical to be in the garden, especially to listen to beautiful birdsong. The ancient woods are just a few minutes walk away and protected as an area of specialist scientific interest as it houses the nation’s largest nightingale population.
There are many walking trails here extending right out to the coast also. As the years passed by, I realised what a treasure trove we had all along.
The village has everything you need but the nearby farm shop with local organic produce is the place I like to go to. The farm has supplied Wimbledon with sumptuous strawberries from the Kentish garden. It has become a favourite of (truncated)
