The Owner Says
I fell in love with Chalton St from the moment I saw it. The house is so central but very peaceful. The space was designed by the renowned architect Jonathan Sergison, who renovated the house as his own home (I bought it from him), and I love the design and feel of the rooms. The views are lovely – of the BT Tower and St Pancras – and it feels so spacious. There are so many lovely spaces where you can relax.
The location is brilliant. I feel very lucky to be able to walk to work every day (I work in Holborn/Chancery Lane); to wander into Soho for dinner out; to eat and drink in Coal Drops Yard; or to go into Bloomsbury to wander round the garden squares. Perhaps best of all for me there is a Barry's gym just up the road!
Most of all I love the outside space, which feels so big for Central London, and is perfect for sunbathing, barbecues, dinners and parties.
There is a great little community in the area and I enjoy saying hi to friendly faces on the street. The sushi from Mai Sushi across the road is fantastic, and I like popping into Albertini for a nice Italian supper.
